•Ingredients:

1/4 cup milk
1 small onion, finely diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup water
Optional garnish: chopped parsley

•Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into oval patties of equal size.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides, approximately 4-5 minutes per side. Once browned, remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
In a small bowl, whisk together flour and water until smooth. Gradually add the flour mixture to the simmering broth, stirring constantly until thickened, for about 2-3 minutes.
Return the patties to the skillet, spooning some of the gravy over the top. Cover and simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the patties are cooked through.
Serve the beef patties with gravy spooned over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
