Maple Glazed Bacon-Wrapped Carrots

8 slices of bacon, halved lengthwise
1 pound of whole carrots, peeled and trimmed
1/4 cup maple syrup
Salt and black pepper to taste
Toothpicks (optional)


Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
Take each carrot and wrap it with a half slice of bacon, ensuring the bacon overlaps slightly. Secure the bacon in place with a toothpick if needed.
Place the bacon-wrapped carrots on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
Brush the tops of the bacon-wrapped carrots generously with the maple syrup mixture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the carrots are tender.
Halfway through baking, you can flip the carrots and brush them with more maple syrup for extra flavor.
Once done, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley or a sprinkle of black pepper before serving.
