Crockpot Ravioli Casserole

•Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

•Instructions:

If including ground beef or sausage, brown it in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
In a mixing bowl, combine marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Spread a thin layer of the sauce mixture in the bottom of the crockpot.
Layer frozen ravioli on top of the sauce.
Sprinkle a portion of cooked meat (if using) and a portion of both cheeses over the ravioli.
Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
Cover and cook on low heat for 4-6 hours or until the ravioli are tender and cooked through.
